Purpose/Mission
We are a community of people of common heritage, one language and culture living in Switzerland, Geneva and environs.
Our mission is to:
– Bring the Yoruba people in Switzerland, Geneva and nearby environs together under one umbrella
– Promote the cultural values and preservation of the rich heritage of the Yoruba speaking people in Switzerland, irrespective of gender, nationality, colour, religion and what they belief.
– Support members in Switzerland, Geneva and nearby environs within the EU axis which may later be rooted in other Countries in the nearest future.
– Encourage and assist voluntary learning for those who are not fully familiar with the Yoruba language through voluntary coaching, including the children with their mother tongue which is the Yoruba language.
Meetings:
We meet once a month, on the first Saturday of every month.
Member Fee:
All members must pay a monthly due of CHF 20- which may also be paid annually (CHF 240-) to the Treasurer or into the account number of the Association.
